EFEKTIFITAS PROGRAM BANTUAN SOSIAL TUNAI PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 DI DESA TANJUNG PAYANG KOTA PAGAR ALAM

Abstract

This study aims to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing the effectiveness of the Cash Social Assistance (Bantuan Sosial Tunai/BST) program during the Covid-19 pandemic, and to assess how effective the program has been in improving the economic condition of the community in Tanjung Payang Village. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, involving 14 informants. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of the BST program in Tanjung Payang Village is supported by strong collaboration between village officials and the community, as well as the commitment of program implementers. However, obstacles such as incomplete administrative documents and limited human resources hinder the smooth implementation of the program. Overall, the BST program in Tanjung Payang Village can be considered fairly effective, although several issues and challenges remain that must be addressed by relevant stakeholders to improve future implementation.
